3sistersCrafts, latest works

Since I have been in a circle of friends and family lately that have been having "problems" concieving and I feel so very blessed or lucky or whatever it may be to have 2 beautiful children I added a couple things to our etsy site!

Fertility Jewelry: I think this is fun. I don't claim it will do anything, but what it does do is remind you of your goal and place it as a positive influence in your life. Not to mention, it is just plain cute too!

Wish Jewelry: again, not claiming if you wear this necklace you are going to get an engagement ring! I wish I could! But isn't it cute? very mod....have fun!

Mother's Jewelery is doing well. Here are a couple of our recent sales.

This for a mom of 2. She wanted a heart. I added the nest (she loved it!)
This was for my mom!! Happy Mother's Day. It has our initials (the 3 of us sisters) and the charm, "Nana" (That is what our kids call her).
A Mom's Necklace for someone whose Daughter's name is: Aubrey Grace
Isn't that adorable!
The charms are a big hit! I have lots of cool words, symbols, flowers, animals...fun stuff!
This was a mother's neclace for her Mother in Law.
A bracelet that we worked hard on, as the customer is allergic to NON sterling silver. It came out great! She loved it!

I will share more soon!

Pinchers and mumbles

We just got back from vacation. We went to a lake house with my family. We went for walks, Claire waded in the lake ( a big accomplishment for her as she is not the swimmer that Ivan is!). Lucas was of course held all week so he is totally spoiled now!

Lucas is changing so fast. He is a real live baby now! He loves to get out his pinchers and grab for things. Mostly hair. He is way into toys now. He sits and plays. Right now he is rebelling against napping. But I will win!!

Claire has recovered totally from her surgery! She had her tonsils, adnoids, and ear tubes put in. She did so great. And her speech has totally improved! She sleeps so quietly. No more snoring. One more thing checked off the list!

I am excited because the Mommy Jewelry I have now is doing great! I think it is so pretty. I actually wear it everyday.

Anyway, that is our progress lately!

Kinda boring, but life is like a roller coaster lately. I feel way out of control. Soo many things going on. I don't know how people do it!

Lucas is doing great!

His newest achievements:
1. He is finally actually eating the cereal, not just spitting it all out and rubbing it all around his face with his fists. (The secret is mid day feeding when it has only been 2 hours since last feeding. The desperation of morning feeding just doesn't work for him).
2. Sitting forward when sitting in pillows (so normally he ends up on his face or on his belly). Today he sat and read a book. He actually even turned a couple pages. I am sure on pure accident. Probably while trying to taste one it accidentally turned.
3. Swimming on the carpet! He moves. He things he is moving anyway, although he is merely staying in the same place yet burning calories. Go Lucas Go!

Parental Mistakes Lately:
This is for the education of other parents (and for entertainment purposes)
1. Roll off the couch - Yes Mom I can move now, you may no longer allow me to sit on the couch unsupervised.
2. A ride all around town in a very poopy leaking diaper - I know do an explosive poop not once a week, but once or twice a day. I am a man remember, so I must get ready!
3. My first ear infection -No mom not your fault, however, you should have known that I don't high pitch scream when I am mad, just the normal holler scream. So next time as soon as you hear the high pitch kind, take me to the doc.

Claire is next!

What I know

I think there are some things I know I do well!

Organize-You give me a mess I will sort it out! At work, socially, and at home
Create- craft, event, projects, dinners

Somethings I need help with please!!!

Health- I know what I should be doing (I think), but I just can't do it? Why?
Beauty- I have heard many things, I have placed importance on this at some points and others not so much (like right now), but I DO think it is important to place importance on it! (at least in this point of my life. I think it adds to the above point (health) both mental and physical.

Why?
- If I think I am pretty, well groomed = I want to take better care of myself. I set new goals=self perpetuating.
-If I start getting into fashion, I want to where nice clothes=I want to exercise and eat right in order to look good in them. (Especially since most of the nice ones are$$$$, no point in buying 150$ jeans if they look just as crappy as the 20$ ones from Target, I want a nice a$$ so I have to work at it).

Anyway, I probably totally offended people there.

So in conclusion (I think maybe I should have gone to law school) from this point forward I VOW to think more deeply into beauty and health. Also to spread my knowledge on Organizing and Creating. Maybe the universe and I can play a little give and take!

My mom and dad now have fast internet! Let's see if they can figure out how to create a blog and comment on some things? **Challenge** (That means, I challenge you).

On the Mommy Front:
My daughter has cold sores! Lovely.
My son is fighting taking naps in his own room! (But doing a great job just eating and going back to sleep at night).

My Tips for the day :)
1. Make a story and add detail to a drawing! (I took this from teaching). Claire loves to draw! And she does really well, but she always draws the same thing! ("a face with eyes, nose, mouth, hair mama") Today I draw a very blank scene, A man and a child walking toward a house. I left the faces just circles, the clothes blank, the flowers on the ground just stems and the house just a square and a rectangle. I asked Claire to fill in the faces, decorate the clothing and finish the house and flowers. She loved it! Then we wrote a sentence below it : Dada and Claire go to Coco Norah's house!

Now tell me! How do you get BF poop our of cute little baby clothes? Please comment me your answers!!!!!

Buffalo wing dip and internet addiction

=excess weight and general laziness

So back to work I go!
Even if nobody is with me (Except my 1 friend who is kind enough to comment, thank you).
I will proceed.

DAY 1 (second round)
After pigging out all weekend I think I have finally had my fill of fattening foods, snack foods and desserts. I actually feel a little sick when I think about eating . I caught a glimpse of my body while sitting down and I was appalled. So enough self deprecating comments and ready to take action.

Right now I vow a health kick.
I vow to:
Drink more water (I think coffee counts don't you?)
Do some form of exercise everyday
Eat only real foods (no snack foods, no sugar)
Only be productive on the internet. (meaning no more surfing facebook like a teenager, only to update my page and correspond to people).

I also vow to try and return to my involved SAHM status. I think I have Lucas under control now so I can try and be more productive with Claire! So I am going to post ideas here for other moms and hope they will share.

Maybe, I could even do another newsletter...we will see.... I am also trying to work.

Some things I did this weekend that other moms might find of interest-

Children's Place is having a monster sale!! (I bought Lucas some sweaters and pull overs for next winter)
Old Navy is also having a Clearance sale!! (I bought Claire cute stuff, including a hot pink sweater dress! Adorable. I let her pick something out and she picked a jean skirt!! What a girl...she liked it because it had a "bow tie".)

I found a recipe for Play Doh:
Put:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
In a saucepan
Add:1 cup water
1 teaspoon of cooking oil
food coloring
Cook, stiring for 3 minutes or until mixture pulls away from side of the pan. Knead immediately. Store in a ziplock back. I added a little bit of extra flour at the end so that it didn't stick to my hands while I was kneading.

While looking for the recipe I discovered a cool craft site:
http://www.instructables.com

And finally tonight I am journaling on Claire. I do it right in a word doc. I just have 4 topics I write about and then paste a current photo in it. (This way if I don't get to her baby book or scrap booking I have something to go back to or at the very least just print out and put in her book).
1. Vocabulary- words, phrases she uses
2. Fun-Funny things she does
3. Accomplishments- New things she knows how to do
4. Eating and Playing- What does she like to eat and who and what she is into playing.

What did you do this weekend?

Ok So I gave up on Blogging my 30 day diet.

I had the sneaking suspicion nobody was following.

If you were, sorry. Keep on keepin on! I will do more after the new year.

Speaking of!
I am thinking of resolutions..hmmm
So far I have a couple ideas:

1. Go Green
2. Entertain more
3. correspond more and send out more photos (ha, it's a joke, I do this so much already my friends are about to put me on their spam lists). But you should do it!! I want to get some photos!
4. Take a class
5. and the usual lose weight, become more healthy...I would love to juice! and eat NO processed foods. (impossible I think).

I am still thinking. What are you going to do?

I was thinking I could do a series on going green? And we could all contribute our ideas on how to recycle things and what kinds of things make it easier to go green. What do you do?

Have a very Happy Holiday!! Drink, eat, be merry! Take lots of photos and videos. Be thankful for all that you get to give and receive.

Stay tuned for:
Go green

I'm pretty sure I am the only reading this thing

But who cares! I continue!

Assignment:
Tell me your biggest struggle? And your biggest success?

Mine:
Struggle- I created bad habits while I was pregnant, mostly sweets and mostly right before bed. So I have a major weakness. Although lately it has just been about 4-5 Hershey kisses a day (when I sneak them when nobody is watching, duh that is how I know I shouldn't be doing it).
(I have been trying to have a decaf coffee or hot chocolate, kind of curbs that sweet craving without it being ice cream or something with higher calories).

Success- My mother in law is here cooking for me and I have been eating great servings of vegetables and fruits! So many more then usual. And honestly they really are so filling.

*Tip: Put some olive oil and balsamic vinegar and a sprinkle of salt when your veggies are all cooked an on your plate. So good! (Even just steamed)*
Some dishes she makes:
-huge salads with tomatoes, avocado, olives, carrots, sun dried tomatoes, celery, and imitation crab meat! (olive oil, salt and balsamic vinegar)
-steamed green beans, onion, and potato
-pan fried cauliflower and potato with onion
-roasted red peppers with olive oil and balsamic vinegar on french bread
-roasted carrots
