Buffalo wing dip and internet addiction
=excess weight and general laziness
So back to work I go!
Even if nobody is with me (Except my 1 friend who is kind enough to comment, thank you).
I will proceed.
DAY 1 (second round)
After pigging out all weekend I think I have finally had my fill of fattening foods, snack foods and desserts. I actually feel a little sick when I think about eating . I caught a glimpse of my body while sitting down and I was appalled. So enough self deprecating comments and ready to take action.
Right now I vow a health kick.
I vow to:
Drink more water (I think coffee counts don't you?)
Do some form of exercise everyday
Eat only real foods (no snack foods, no sugar)
Only be productive on the internet. (meaning no more surfing facebook like a teenager, only to update my page and correspond to people).
I also vow to try and return to my involved SAHM status. I think I have Lucas under control now so I can try and be more productive with Claire! So I am going to post ideas here for other moms and hope they will share.
Maybe, I could even do another newsletter...we will see.... I am also trying to work.
Some things I did this weekend that other moms might find of interest-
Children's Place is having a monster sale!! (I bought Lucas some sweaters and pull overs for next winter)
Old Navy is also having a Clearance sale!! (I bought Claire cute stuff, including a hot pink sweater dress! Adorable. I let her pick something out and she picked a jean skirt!! What a girl...she liked it because it had a "bow tie".)
I found a recipe for Play Doh:
Put:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
In a saucepan
Add:1 cup water
1 teaspoon of cooking oil
food coloring
Cook, stiring for 3 minutes or until mixture pulls away from side of the pan. Knead immediately. Store in a ziplock back. I added a little bit of extra flour at the end so that it didn't stick to my hands while I was kneading.
While looking for the recipe I discovered a cool craft site:
http://www.instructables.com
And finally tonight I am journaling on Claire. I do it right in a word doc. I just have 4 topics I write about and then paste a current photo in it. (This way if I don't get to her baby book or scrap booking I have something to go back to or at the very least just print out and put in her book).
1. Vocabulary- words, phrases she uses
2. Fun-Funny things she does
3. Accomplishments- New things she knows how to do
4. Eating and Playing- What does she like to eat and who and what she is into playing.
What did you do this weekend?
